Ma No. Thé ( Ma No. Thé)

This brand reconstructs the uniquely Japanese sensibility of "ma" through tea, based on the tranquility reflected in wabi-sabi and the deep space cultivated by the aesthetics of black .

The presence of a moment in the act of smoking, the flickering fragrance, the richness hidden deep within the silence... We deliver to the world the spirituality that arises in that moment.

By restoring the "space" to tea time, we propose a new tea experience that brings a sense of calm and beauty to our busy daily lives.

Japanese aesthetics of tea

Wearing geta sandals, you will be immersed in aesthetics from the ground up, and with every step you will feel the tranquility and beauty of the movements, before finally reaching the "ma-za" (place between the seats).

A cup of tea is brewed there.

A moment to savor the time, feel the space, and face yourself.

The tea pickers in the spring tea garden

At 96KURo-design®, we develop Japanese tea based on the spirit of wabi-sabi.

Sen no Rikyu, who is the core of our brand, elevated the tea ceremony to the beauty of "wabi-sabi" during the samurai era.Rikyu's philosophy, which rejected extravagance and valued stillness, space, shadows, and "space," transformed the act of drinking tea into a "path" for calming the mind.

It can be said that this spirit still lives on today in the light and shadows that shine on the tea fields, and in the depths of the ripening flavors and aromas.

Green tea/matcha 00 is a wabicha tea that brings out the natural flavor of the tea leaves.

For Japanese black tea, we start from 01 and unfold the flow of time until Japanese black tea is made as Sabicha.

Wabi and Sabi. These two beauties harmonize like yin and yang in the world of tea, bringing out the Japanese aesthetic in each cup of tea.

[Top quality Fuji Matcha]

Ceremonial Grade

Ma no Za 00 Fuji Matcha is a 100% organic origin matcha born at the foot of Mount Fuji, in collaboration with EN. Inc., a creative company based in Fuji City that "connects the value of the region and delivers it to the future."

This is a special matcha in which the natural environment that Mt. Fuji has nurtured over time is transformed into a flavor.

Fuji's unique climate is characterized by frequent mist and soft sunlight, and the land is rich in minerals thanks to its clear spring water and volcanic soil.

All of these factors give the tea leaves a delicate flavor and transparency. This matcha was born from the Fuji Organic Project, which regenerated abandoned tea fields, and it embodies the vitality of "living fields" that grow without relying on pesticides or chemical fertilizers, but only with the power of nature.

This ceremonial grade tea is made using only the first-picked tea leaves of spring, and is characterized by its mellow flavor, lingering sweetness, silky mouthfeel, and clear fragrance that emerges the moment it is brewed .

With just one sip, the silence of the foot of Mount Fuji, the memories of the land, and the hint of the wind gently rise up, leaving a deep aftertaste inside the drinker. Fuji Matcha is a cup born from the resonance between nature and human activities, a cup for savoring the "space" between the two.

Fuji is not just a famous mountain, but a symbolic land that has been revered by the Japanese since ancient times as a "pure beginning."

The rich minerals produced by the volcanic soil, the soft sunlight nurtured by the mist, and the crystal clear water that springs from the foot of the mountain.

This trinity of environment creates miraculous conditions for tea cultivation. It is precisely because this land, where the power of nature works in perfect harmony, is able to bring out the delicate and deep flavor, the clear sweetness, and the pure fragrance of the tea.

Fuji is the "inevitable place" where the highest quality matcha is born, and where the Japanese spirituality is expressed in its flavor.

[Carefully selected Mino Shirakawa tea leaves]

Selected Premium Tea Leaves

Higashi Shirakawa Village in Gifu Prefecture is a mountainous area with mountains ranging from 260m to over 1,100m above sea level. The Kurokawa region, enveloped in tranquility, is a special place where the finest tea leaves are grown, even among the "Mino Shirakawa Tea" which is only available in limited quantities nationwide.

In this region, where fog is particularly prevalent, the strong sunlight is naturally softened and photosynthesis is moderately suppressed, naturally controlling the production of catechins, which are the source of astringency. As a result, theanine, a flavor component, accumulates in abundance, creating a mellow, elegant flavor with a delicate balance of sweetness, umami, and a subtle astringency.

Ichibancha is the first tea leaves picked that year from tea trees that have survived the winter. The new leaves contain a lot of umami components, are highly nutritious, and are characterized by their excellent aroma and flavor. At "Amanoza 00," we carefully select only the highest quality Ichibancha tea, and put it through a meticulous process from tea processing to roasting and finishing.

The resulting tea leaves are soft to the touch, and when you put them in your mouth, a pure fragrance spreads softly. The aftertaste is quiet and long, as if the tranquility of the mountains itself is reflected in the hot water.

With each brew, your senses are sharpened, and it is an experience that allows you to find the time to reflect on yourself. It is a time to regain the essence of yourself that is often overlooked in the hustle and bustle. It is our hope that you will infuse your heart with the memories of the earth that reside in the tea leaves and the tranquility that nature offers.
