KURo JAPAN RABEL - Japanese Aesthetics, Shaped in Black.
KURo JAPAN RABEL, created by 96KURo-design®︎, is a brand that redefines the spiritual and aesthetic foundations of Japan through the lens of wabi-sabi and the philosophy of black.
In Japanese culture, black has never been a decorative color. It is a vessel for essence, silence, and negative space—revealing what remains after excess is removed. This sensibility was most profoundly embodied by Sen no Rikyu, who reshaped Japanese values through the practice of tea, emphasizing restraint, presence, and inner depth over luxury or display.
Rooted in Rikyu’s philosophy of reduction and respect for ma—the space between moments—KURo JAPAN RABEL re-edits objects, food, and traditional crafts for the present day.
We do not preserve things simply because they are old, nor create things merely because they are new. Instead, we assign new value to what carries true essence, offering a contemporary label for Japanese beauty that endures into the future.

KURo Setta - Japanese aesthetics, grounded at your feet.
KURo Setta is a modern reinterpretation of setta, a traditional Japanese sandal rooted in tea culture and samurai tradition.
Often attributed to Sen no Rikyu, setta were originally worn by tea practitioners and warriors as formal footwear, designed to cultivate composure, posture, and quiet movement.
Each pair of KURo SETTA is handcrafted through century-old techniques preserved in Nara, involving more than ten specialized Japanese artisans. While respecting the original structure, contemporary materials such as leather and denim are introduced to adapt the form for everyday modern wear.
Balancing heritage and innovation, KURo SETTA brings Japanese craftsmanship into the present—offering footwear that carries tradition, intention, and refined simplicity with every step.
Material,Size
Our setta are crafted with LWG-certified leather, meeting international standards for sustainable leather production, including responsible water use, chemical management, and transparent manufacturing. We also support the philosophy of Thinking Leather Action (TLA), promoting a more sustainable future for the leather industry.
Available in sizes S to XXL.
Traditionally worn with the heel slightly extending beyond the sole, setta create a sense of ma—the subtle space central to Japanese movement and aesthetics. Our designs respect this tradition while offering comfort suited to modern lifestyles.
ORINOTABI - Mino Washi Tabi
ORINO TABI Mino Washi Tabi Socks combine traditional Mino craftsmanship with modern functionality. Made from Mino washi with over a thousand years of history, they are lightweight, highly breathable, and naturally antibacterial and deodorizing, ensuring lasting comfort throughout the day.
Using one of Japan’s finest twisting techniques, the fibers are carefully processed to achieve both strength and flexibility, creating a natural, adaptive fit. The nearly seamless construction provides a second-skin feel, reduces friction, and supports long hours of walking or standing.
Each pair is carefully crafted from yarn to finish, featuring a minimal design that harmonizes tradition with modern life and grows more comfortable with time.

Ma № Thé is a tea brand rooted in Japanese aesthetics, inspired by wabi-sabi and the act of sitting within ma—the space between moments.
Our teas include sencha, Japanese black tea (wakōcha), and Fuji matcha grown at the foothills of Mount Fuji, each expressing its own distinct character. Drawing inspiration from the tea practices shaped by Sen no Rikyu, Ma № Thé views tea not as consumption, but as a gesture—an intentional pause to sit, drink, and become present.
Ma № Thé offers a single, meaningful cup: a moment to sit within ma and return to awareness.
